Rhino DSL FAQ

What is Rhino DSL?
Rhino DSL is a modem technology that turns your existing phone line into a three-channel data delivery system. One channel transmits voice services, so normal phone and fax usage continues whether or not you are accessing the Internet. A second channel transmits data downstream at high speeds, and a third bi-directional channel transmits data upstream. The downstream and upstream channels carry information to and from the Internet. Therefore, phone or fax calls occurring on the first channel are not affected by your online activity.

How does Rhino DSL compare to cable modems?
Cable modems offer service over a shared cable. Multiple users may be connected to the same local cable line. The more users per cable line the slower you Internet becomes. Rhino DSL provides a dedicated connection so that you don't have to share your local access connection with other users.

How fast is Rhino DSL?
Rhino DSL offers download speeds ranging from 1.5 Mbps to 6.0 Mbps. With a Rhino DSL Internet connection you have the ability to download files and surf the Internet at very high speeds. Exact throughput speeds experienced will vary based on several factors, including the distance between your home or business and our central office, the condition of your line, traffic on the Internet, and the performance of servers hosting web sites you visit.

Is Rhino DSL Available in my area?
We currently only offer service in the Oklahoma 405 and 580 area codes. Another requirement is that you must have voice service established with ATT. If you meet those requirements we would need to then "loop qualify" your telephone number to see what the distance between you and our nearest Central Office or Remote Terminal is. This distance will also tell us what package you will qualify for. Contact us today so we can loop qualify your telephone line!

Yes! There are two ways you can get "FREE" service. You can pay your bill 11 months in advance and receive the 12 month free! You can also take advantage of our REFERRAL PROGRAM. A few things to remember is that they must supply your account name at the time of install. They will not be allowed to call the next day with the referral information.
